The Online Casino, Poker Star, is continuing to grow rapidly. Industry experts believe that this growth is mainly due to the company's decision to continue offering online gambling services to US residents despite the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Funding Prohibition Act, a law designed to stop US residents from using their favorite online casino.

Many online casinos have decided to leave the US market following President George W. Bush's signing the bill into the law. Among these is the online casino Party Poker .com that is still rated among the top five online poker sites. Party Poker who once dominated the US market's move to leave the US and 75 percent of it business has allowed the online casino to take up much of their former business. Analysts are having a hard time keeping up with the rapid change the online gambling world is going through.

The shift in online casino traffic can be very clearly seen in the numbers presented by the different online casinos. For example, Poker Star's website recorded 10,604 players on Thursday evening significantly more then on Party Poker who hosted a mere 595 although later on that day Party Poker eventually reached 6,736 players despite their decision to ban US residents. This change in online casino business in the US market is not only affecting these companies. Daniel Negreanu's Full Tilt Poker, a private casino that has also decided to allow US players to use their services also enjoyed a heavy traffic Thursday evening, with nearly 6,000 players logged on.
